Funny they would ask about independence on Cinco De Mayo; it's not independence day for Mexico, it just commemorates the day they kicked France's ass.

But I'm all about an excuse to drink margaritas :)

AND... My ancestors were in Texas and California before they were admitted to the union, so "technically" I'm Mexican ;)
