Treasure hunting in the city centre

I have had a very enjoyable Sunday. I have just come back from an afternoon spent on a treasure hunt in the city centre, looking for clues on buildings, statues, etc, in George Square, and various city centre streets around it.
We were divided into teams and given a list of questions. As Glasgow has a number of ornately carved sandstone buildings some of the answers were to be found far above the city streets or on plaques attached to them. Some answers were easier than others to find. My team came second by half a point due to the winning team being the only one managing to locate a cocktail parasol, which was in the list of items we had to find as well.
It was a very enjoyable day out, especially given that we had blue skies and sunshine today. Our final objective was the Counting House in George Square from which I have just returned, having consumed a few or more pints of their real ales and had some nachos to eat.
I would still be there but for the fact that, as tonight is a school night, I decided an early finish was in order.
