That was the weekend

rhionnachI had a quiet weekend, mainly due to the fact that I am gearing up for Eastercon which starts this Friday. I am looking forward to it, especially with some of the programme items recently announced on the website at http://lx2009.com/. After all, how many cons can claim to have an orchestral concert by the National Festival Orchestra?
I went to the cinema on Saturday to see "Traitor", which turned out to be a rambling, but mostly predictable, thriller. The floor show, however, was a bit more entertaining with a member of the audience slowly making his way to the front, having lost the ability to see as he moved just as everything went dark. He went the wrong way, all the way across the front of the audience before realising his mistake. He then repeated this performance in the final minutes of the film which distracted me a bit but was more entertaining.
We went for a drink afterwards and, unfortunately, the Grand National was showing on the plasma screens. I dislike watching it as there are always fallers, some of whom don't get up again. I also hate the sight of horses continuing to run and jump with their reins flying, an accident waiting to happen.
On Sunday I went for a walk in Calderwood Glen, which is a country park in East Kilbride. I took my camera so will upload some photos on here. I've already put them onto my Facebook but I think I will select the better ones.
And no stalker! The ISP got back to me and said that I should block him if I didn't like his emails. Well yes, but I know I'm not the first person he's done this to but I guess I am the first one to complain. I shouldn't have to send him him three emails telling him to stop, all of which he has ignored. I sent a fourth email telling him I was taking further steps so maybe he has now paid attention, but I somehow doubt it. I will take stronger action if required.
