Today I spent a considerable amount of time handling inbound calls. You never quite know what sort of calls you are going to get, some are things such as "My iPod was in my trousers and went through a wash cycle, what do I do?" and then there's the following exchange:
Me: "good afternoon, you're throught to S*****s, how can I help?"
Very bad line, on a mobile, in a car: "Is that the Apple centre?"
Me: "No, this is S*****s."
"Are you the Apple centre?" Indicators clicking in the background.
"No, this is S*****s."
"Oh.....What do you do?"
"We sell computers"
"Oh, do you do software?"
"Yes."
"Right, I need a cable for my iPod."
Some people ought not to be allowed anywhere near iPods, never mind anything else!
