Pre-Eastercon post

This is likely to be the last post I make before I head off to Eastercon in Bradford tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it as I haven't been away anywhere since being a Viking at Largs for a week last September. It will be good to catch up with people I haven't seen since last Easter as well as people I have only communicated with on the net since then.

I was at my parents in Saltcoats today. I had their mobile phone which needed sorting out as they had bought a Nokia in Tesco on the T-Mobile network and hadn't realised they needed to use it every so often in order to keep the number live. Last time I was there I took it away with me as I had a spare Vodafone sim which I figured could be used in it once I unlocked the phone. However, as it turned out the phone wasn't locked and works fine with the Vodafone sim.

They were pleased to see me. Things have been different since my sister died last July. They had spent a large part of their lives looking after her as she was very autistic and it's been a huge change for them.

I'm packed (within reason), I'm sure there'e something I've overlooked, hopefully something minor. I'm heading off to the Resurgence of Trout tonight http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=31293971021 or glasgow_fen for the LJ version. It's the usual 2nd Thursday of the month meet up. As it's an early rise tomorrow I don't intend to partake of too many Theakstons but we'll see how it goes.
