I went to Tesco today, boring stuff but it had to be done. In the vegetarian section of the freezers I spotted the following:

I'm confused. Surely all falafel is meat free? I've never heard of any other kind.

If you're not familiar with falafel you might not know that it's vegetarian. You know, the kind of person who's only considering vegetarianism because it's fashionable.

Well, being veggie does introduce us all to more interesting foods, but in the meat and two veg world, it's not so common. McDonald's doesn't serve them - they don't know about them.

I am unfamiliar with falafel, so I did not know that. I did wonder why the reduced packet of Quorn falafel in Tescoids had a sticker on it saying 'meat free' though, because I *did* think that most folk are familiar with Quorn by now. /shrugs

It's part of a range of products all called 'Tesco Meat Free', I believe.
