I didn't go out last night. I stayed put and vegged in front of the TV. In addition to anything else I was extremely tired so wouldn't have made good company anyway. I tend to go silent when I'm tired and I was tired enough to feel in that state most of the evening.

What last night highlighted for me was the fact that I suppose I ought to get myself some kind of going out clothes. I have some stuff that is for the winter months, such as my crushed velvet top and skirt, but summer has now begun here (yay!) and it's too warm to wear it. I have very many t shirts, SF, Pagan, even Viking, but not ones that could be worn going out. I have things I wear for work but they're not really acceptable for going out with. I also have a lot of black. I suppose I ought to take a look in M&S and see what I can find. I prefer XL or XXL t shirts for comfort so my natural tendency is to buy stuff in the mens department but that's not very girly!

It's not that I don't go out but I've manage to get away with what I have for quite some time. It's the girliness of last night and the fact that they were all talking about what they were going to wear that I had a problem with.

I'm going out tonight but it's a Pagan social moot so clothes are not such a problem.

I have been out to the supermarket and have returned to find an empty can of Stella and a bottle of vodka and a bottle of gin on my doorstep, accompanied by evidence of input becoming output. I am not pleased. This happens every time there is a football match at Hampden.

What gives these people the right to piss on my doorstep? Would they like it if I followed them home and did the same on their doorstep?

And, no doubt, later on there will be fighting. Whatever the outcome of the match, there will be fights. I do not like football, some people do, but I fail to see why some of them seem to think this gives them licence to behave in whatever way they like. Why can't they go quietly to the football ground, not annoying anyone, watch the damn game, and then go home again quietly? Why does everything get disrupted for the sake of some overpaid louts kicking a ball about a pitch? Why do people get injured or even killed because of bloody football?

There is a ban on alcohol being carried on trains going anywhere near major football matches. This puzzles me when all the bars and off-licenses around here are heaving with fans getting tanked up and when Hampden has bars inside. It's just asking for trouble.

I don't like football, I detest the bad behaviour of its fans, I hate the disruption to everyday life, and I hate the thinly disguised sectarianism that is Celtic and Rangers. I also hate the fact that when I say all of the above I get told I'm being biased and opinionated by one or other football fans! It's my take on football, that is how it comes across to me as someone who stands outside all of its nonsense. My cousin is some kind of heid bummer of the SFA but that still doesn't make it OK in my eyes.
