I will be going to work shortly. It's such a wonderful place to be, these days. First they move us out to an almost inaccesible area which takes a fair length of travel time on practically non-existent public transport. Then they scare people into thinking that their jobs are not going to exist so they had better apply for some other ones they have created. No one has actually been given redundancy as it turns out, so that was a lie. They develop ways to deny people a good chunk of their bonus (not that we get paid that much in the first place). They also make various petty rules that make the place very unpleasant to work in. People are leaving on a weekly basis, and the rest of us are wondering what the hell the management is up to.

They now appear to have realised just how pissed off people are, but are they going to do anything positive to remedy this? No, of course not! But what they do want to do is to control the leaving emails people send out. Instead of being sent out to all, as has been the case previously, they now want them sent to one person who will put them on an intranet website. All the better to censor them. They must be expecting to get quite a few more leaving emails that will say just what they don't want to hear.

Oh yes, and if you are going for an interview they are quite reluctant to allow time off. They are now trying to restrict it by saying you are only allowed 2 hours for an appointment (not that I would be stupid enough to SAY I was going for an interview but they must have some idea). Have they ever tried to get there and back again on public transport?

I'm getting out as soon as I can, and so is everyone else!
