So Quetzalquoatl was a Druid?

That explains it all now!

What am I havering about? Well, you can read it here, why the religions of the Native Americans are so similar to those of the ancient Celts.

And to think that it was kept hidden from us all these years! (BTW that's sarcasm for anyone reading this who is unaware of it)

The more I read on this website the more I am entertained. Have a look for yourselves, there's so much to choose from. Why not start with the history of the Celts? http://www.druidcraft.us/history.htm

Ah yes, some of it sounds familiar: "that if Druidism were to survive, it would have to go underground...and disguise itself... as we know it did, in many forms."

What a pity they didn't credit Marion Zimmer Bradley (and a few other speculative-fiction authors) for the ideas expressed.

Looking further round the site, I can't help reflecting that much of it sounds like the 'Lancelot's Sacred Cat' mythos we used to make up in the Windmill pub meet in Walthamstow. Y'know, there are times I am *very* tempted to set up my own cult in the States - could be a nice little earner...?

And the best antidote for mindless drivel and idiocy is~
*knowledge*!

Why not start with Pliny's reference to the Pythagoreans and then read Golden Verses
