Having switched the alarm off when it sounded at 8.00am I slept for another hour and half (lazy cow!)and have had a very leisurely breakfast of peaches followed by waffles and maple syrup, washed down with black coffee. I have things I ought to be doing in the flat but the sun is out and I want to enjoy it while I can.

I aim to take down the bloody great computer desk which was set up in the living room and which takes up so much space. Once that's down I'll have more room to move in. The desktop PC itself is simply a dust-gathering hazard to navigation as I now use my laptop. I can access the drive but there's not a lot on it now so I'll need to decide where to put it. I suppose it will most likely join the IBM luggable and the Apple II in the Cupboard of Old Computers (and other assorted items). Of course the desk isn't the only thing that's in my way, there's assorted boxes of things which were brought up from Birmingham years ago and which were clearly so vital to have that they still sit where they were put.

Ideally if I could find a folding table for my laptop that would be good. Perhaps I'll wander over to IKEA to see what they might have. I have a three-in-one HP printer but that is only about the size of two large shoe boxes so it doesn't need much space, and as it's not something I use every day it can sit out of the way most of the time.

This is something I've wanted to do for quite some time but I've never felt able to tackle it before. It's taken me a very long time to be comfortable enough to be able to just be in my flat by myself but slowly and surely I have got there.

Of course next weekend is out of the question as I will be going to [livejournal.com profile] satellite_2.
