Dec. 16th, 2009 06:43 pm Dear Santa...Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! Last Saturday I ruled Iran as a kind and benevolent dictator (700 points). In June I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Dec. 16th, 2009 11:04 pmA spot of confusion in work today. I heard my mobile text alert which puzzled me as I was sure I had put it on silent. As this coming weekend marks the anniversary of buying it I was a bit annoyed to think it might be malfunctioning, given that I had to buy it to replace an earlier phone whose display decided to die after a year.
I checked it and, sure enough, it was on silent. That was when I discovered that the person sitting opposite me had the same text ringtone as myself, namely the bosun's whistle as used in Star Trek. There's not many around, or so I thought, but it seems to be increasing. The next thing will be when someone decides to use the red alert siren as their ringtone, as I do.
