Fun on the bus
Oct. 16th, 2009 05:12 pmI had a bit of a daft encounter on the bus today.
I was sitting gazing out of the window when I suddenly realised I wanted the stop we had just pulled into. So I made my way to the door only to find my way blocked by people getting on. It was one of those doors with a pole in the middle so I couldn't easily get past. To make matters worse just as I thought my way was clear it was suddenly blocked by a fat woman dressed in purple who was gabbing away on her phone. I stood back to let her on and pay, expecting that once she got her ticket she would move up the bus thus allowing me to exit. However, instead of this she stopped, leaving about half the space required. I'm no slim thing myself so I tried to squeeze past her but unfortunately caused her to stumble. This was mainly down to her having no awareness of anything around her as she was on her phone. I apologised but I guess she didn't hear me as she then turned round and PUSHED me out the door (while still on her phone)! A very grown up and measured response to a simple mistake.
Numpty!
