Post-Trout Post
Oct. 9th, 2009 12:32 amBack from this month's Trout, which was reasonably well attended. I had been expecting the people from Constellation 2010 to turn up and they didn't ,which is their loss, as at £126 a pop, they really needed to start this time last year to get members.
I was pleased to see that Theakstons Dark was back on this month as last month they had “run out”, or not paid the brewery , or something. I have to say I do have my doubts about the long term viability of a pub which has now stopped doing food and which frequently seems to run out of assorted drinks, Theakstons and Monkey Shoulder being ones which spring to mind.
I stayed till chucking out time and walked down towards Central Station with
dyllane and
hubblegubble. I then surprised myself by actually managing to catch the 66 bus I saw stopped at the lights at the top of Union Street. I ran about a couple of hundred yards to the bus stop and caught it! I guess I'm not as unfit as too many years of not running, too many pounds, getting over a heavy cold, as well as having imbibed 4 pints of Theakstons would make me think! It would appear that a bit of dedicated effort would get me back to a good level of fitness.
I have some things to deal with over the upcoming Glasgow Moots' Samhain party (hissy fits and the repercussions thereof) but that will have to wait until I am sober.
