The sky at night is shining bright

Been watching the "Sky at Night" from 1969. What memories it has stirred up! I can recall so much from the Moon landings then, including the fact that I wasn't allowed to stay up for the landing, even though I wasn't at school the next day! I am forever annoyed over that. I was 11 and on holiday from school so what was the big deal? Apart from the fact that my parents had this thing about not disturbing my seven years younger sister I have no idea why I wasn't allowed to watch. It is going to annoy me for the rest of my life.

Been watching the "Sky at Night" from 1969. What memories it has stirred up! I can recall so much from the Moon landings then, including the fact that I wasn't allowed to stay up for the landing, even though I wasn't at school the next day! I am forever annoyed over that. Apart from the fact that my parents had this thing about not disturbing my seven years younger sister I have no idea why I wasn't allowed to watch. It is going to annoy me for the rest of my life.

Not the day I had planned

Well, that was a bit of a waste of a day.

I woke up well before the alarm this morning, feeling sick and headachy. It seems I am enjoying a bout of sinusitis. After snoozing until it was time to phone into work, I then managed to sleep most of the morning. I'm not sure that lieing down is all that good for sinusitis but sitting up isn't much better. At least while asleep I wasn't feeling as if someone had scoured out the inside of my cheekbones with a brillo pad.

I had some odd and very intense dreams, involving being at a convention and having meaningful conversations with assorted people. When I got up I spent the afternoon playing silly games on the computer and reading LJ. I haven't had any coffee and, in fact, all I've been eating has been fruit but I'm now beginning to get hungry. My head is a lot clearer so I hope to be back at work tomorrow.

I hate being off work. I always feel such a fake, including the time I came down with cellulitis and had a bright red, swollen leg to show for it.
