There are hordes of strange women wandering about the streets here. Apparently Take That are playing at Hampden over this weekend. That will be one concert I don't open my windows for.

I can escape tomorrow and Sunday as I'll be occupied with Summer Solstice activities.

That was an odd one, a very odd one.

Last night I received an email from Friends Reunited, a site I am very rarely on. It informed me that I had been tagged in a photo by a very old (and exceedingly unwanted) boyfriend. I wasn't aware he was on the site, nor that he would have the brain capacity to work out how to use a computer or go on the internet. He was from a time I would rather forget. And he hung about for a long time, turning up every now and then like a bad penny, until I eventually had to have Strong Words with him.

I decided to take a look. I thought perhaps he had found an old photo from way back when. I will admit to curiosity on this and thought it would do no harm to take a look. When I got to the site what I saw was extremely unsettling. He had actually tagged me on one of the photos I have on my profile.

My photo. Not his.

To do so would mean he would have had to look me up to begin with, go into my profile, click on my photo, write my name in, and save it. It's not something you can do by accident.

He's a very odd character. When my sister died last year he had read about it in the local paper and turned up at my parents to pay his respects. That was nice of him. However, what was very odd about it was that he got my father to write down his address and phone number so that it could be passed on to me as he “would be very pleased to see me”. Whether his wife would be quite so pleased is another matter.

I had no real wish to instigate communication between us but I decided to ask him why he had tagged me. His reply was that it was an error, that he was unaware he had done so as he was unfamiliar with the site.

Nope, I don't think so, see above for reasons why. Hopefully this is the end of it. He's been a bit silly, thought he could do something without drawing attention to himself, and been caught out. But thoughts of just why he wanted to tag a photo of me have been crossing my mind and they make me shudder in disgust!

BTW, I am on Facebook and many people have tagged me in photos. That's different, those photos are from events, occassions and parties, and I have no problem with that. But having this person deliberately seek me out in this way is somewhat different.
