Che I & II
Mar. 1st, 2009 07:38 pmI went to the GFT (Glasgow Film Theatre)today to see Che Parts I & II. I had some knowledge about Che Guevara in that he was an Argentinian doctor, that he was involved in the Cuban revolution and that he had been killed in Bolivia. And then there's the famous photo which appears all over the place. But I learned today that my knowledge is extremely sparse and further reading is in order, about Che and also the Cuban revolution.
The GFT was packed as people were taking the opportunity to see both films back to back. This time no one walked out as had happened at other showings
essbee80 had been at. I guess GFT audiences have taken the time to find out what sort of film they're going to see first and not whatever will shelter them from the rain!
It was a well written, well put together film, with good performances from the cast. It also had the added bonus that it was filled with very good looking Latin American types!
